Our Story
About us
Diegesis is a UK-based business and technology consultancy. We help organisations get the most from their IT investments by optimising, upgrading and migrating legacy systems and databases. We also develop new solutions, troubleshoot problems, and provide project management, support and knowledge transfer.
We’re proud that our team combines 30+ years of experience in legacy technologies such as Ingres, Informix and Db2, with expertise in the latest cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google GCP.

Meet the senior leadership team

Nick Denning
CEO
Nick Denning has a wealth of experience in enterprise, cyber security and risk management solutions. After reaching rank of Captain in the Royal Signals, Nick joined Logica Space and Defence, working in the Computer Security Evaluation Facility. In 1987 Nick founded Strategic Thought Group (STG) providing services to organisations deploying enterprise software solutions such as Ingres RDBMS, TUXEDO and IBM technology. Having taken STG to a flotation on the London AIM Market, Nick founded Diegesis primarily to provide integration and transformation services to public sector organisations including the Home Office, MoD and ONS.

Wendy Kakuda
Deputy Managing Director
Wendy joined Diegesis in 2020 after deciding to make a career switch and completing studies with a technical development bootcamp. Since becoming a member of the Diegesis team, she has enjoyed gaining experience in Java and Android development on battlefield interoperability projects, as well as working with Angular on the company’s cloud based cyber security solution.
Wendy comes from a broad humanitarian background with a Masters in Art Psychotherapy and career experience in fields such as education, art, government and charity-sector communications, PR and mental health. She brings a diverse skill-set to her work and has over seven years of experience engaging directly with clients and stakeholders.

Jessica Long
Head of Operations
After graduating in 2013 from Cambridge with a degree in chemistry, Jessica started working at Diegesis and built a solid foundation in Java programming. Jessica has gained experience in a wide range of areas, including databases, web technologies, integration tools, and cloud platforms. As the company grew, Jessica rose to the challenge of project management and now splits her time between managing and developing.

AAH Pharmaceuticals
AAH uses Ingres ABF applications for Sales, Stock, Invoices and Decision – an Ingres/STAR database linking to other databases and used by the Business Intelligence and Management information teams. Diegesis is helping to manage, modernise and migrate business critical systems.
